Solidarity Day
With Solidarity Day we ask that you wear Black (preferably at least a shirt and/or pants) and acknowledge other Black folks, specifically Students within The Ohio State University community. We proclaim that every first and third Wednesday of each month will serve as Solidarity Day.
THE TIME IS NOW FOR US TO UNITE!!!!
A few things you should consider for Solidarity Day and things that will make it Successful:
Our ultimate goal is to have all Black students on campus in Black attire (every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month) respecting one another. It starts with you – Happy Solidarity Day!!!!
“There can be no black-white unity until there is first some Black unit…We cannot think of uniting with others, until after we have first united among ourselves. We cannot think of being acceptable to others until we first proven acceptable to ourselves
- Malcolm X
